蔡宗勳，現在工作及生活於台灣台北。我的創作聚焦於地方之間的經驗，以距離產生的不確定性回應「地方」這個概念，透過不同地方的故事、材料、空間特性或地理條件進行組織，以多種關於此地的敘事去描述它，在一種想像空間的方法中實踐。
地方，這是一個對我來說模糊的概念，許多時候我可以在兩個完全不同的地點，有著相似的感受，讓人誤以為正在接近這個地方，或是這個空間；在近幾年的作品中，我多以現地製作的方式作為方法，嘗試在空間中創造地方的感受，選擇關於此地的材料，材料的文化記憶像是歷史的片斷，我依循材料的路徑組織敘事的邏輯，在空間中搭建通道，連結地方並找尋相似的感受。
作品曾獲台北美術獎優選(2019)、高雄美術獎入選(2020)、世安美學獎_造型藝術類獎(2019)、金穗獎學生實驗類首獎與入圍(2018、2016)、宜蘭獎優選(2017)、國立臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術創作卓越獎(2017)等；近期展覽含：台南市立美術館(2023)、嘉義市立美術館(2022)、鳳甲美術館(2021)、高雄市立美術館(2021)、台北國際藝術村(2019)、台北市立美術館(2019)、台北當代藝術館(2019)、台北數位藝術中心(2019)、香港藝術中心(2018)。
Tsai Tsung-Hsun currently lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. His creative practice focuses on experiences between places, responding to the concept of "place" through the uncertainties generated by distance. He organizes his work through stories, materials, spatial characteristics, or geographical conditions of different locations, using multiple narratives about a place to describe it and practicing an imaginative approach to space.
For him, "place" is a vague concept. Often, he finds himself experiencing similar feelings in two entirely different locations, creating the illusion of approaching a particular place or space. In recent years, he has adopted site-specific production as a method, attempting to evoke a sense of place within a given space. He carefully selects materials relevant to the site, as their cultural memory serves as fragments of history. By following the trajectories of these materials, he constructs a narrative logic, creating pathways in the space to connect places and seek out resonant experiences.
He has received multiple awards such as Taipei Art Award( Honorable Mention 2019)、S-An Art Award (Plastic Arts 2019)、Golden Harvest Awards for Outstanding Short Films (Selected 2018, First Award 2016), Taoyuan Contemporary Art Award (Selected 2018), Yilan Awards (Honorable Mention 2017) and New Media Art Merit Award (Honorable Mention 2017).Exhibited at Tainan Art Museum(2023)、Chiayi Art Museum(2022)、Honggah Museum(2021)、Taipei Fine Art Meseum(2019)、Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei(2019)、Taipei Digital Art Center(2019)、Hong kong art center(2018)
